David Robins - Executive Director
I have enjoyed my lifelong interest in working with individuals with developmental disabilities. My service began in 1987 at Columbus Colony, a community for deaf individuals where I learned American Sign Language (ASL). It was at Columbus Colony where I met my good friend and mentor, Melissa Seely - who sparked my passion to serve. After six years with Columbus Colony, I accepted a position as the first supportive living direct care staff for a large waiver provider in Central Ohio. It was very exciting and challenging to assist individuals in the transition from licensed facilities to a place they can call home – independently. Those challenges ignited my passion even more, and after many years of service to our community and receiving my Bachelors of Administration degree from Mount Vernon Nazarene University, I co-founded Creative Foundations. I am proud to currently serve on the ADA Advisory Committee with the Ohio Secretary of State office and as Secretary of the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association of Ohio. My life goal is to continue supporting the lives of individuals and empower each person we serve to be a self-advocate and proud of their life and achievements. I currently live in Grove City with my life partner of 14 years, and our 2 cats and 2 dogs. I also have ten amazing Nieces and Nephews and one Great-Nephew on the way who I can't wait to spoil rotten!
