Creative Foundations was founded in 2001 to provide supports to individuals with developmental disabilities. Founder, David Robins has worked with individuals with disabilities for his entire working career. After David earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in 1999, he decided it was time to make his dream of starting an agency reality. We began providing residential services to an individual in Franklin County, Ohio and from there went to Knox, Delaware, Union, Champaign, and Licking Counties. In 2005, Creative Foundations opened its first Adult Day Service program in Knox County. We started in a small building and focused on community involvement and working on life skills that individual’s could use outside of our program and in their home.
In 2006, we moved to our current location in Downtown Mount Vernon so our individuals could actually be part of the community. Many years later, our vision is still embraced by those we serve. In February 2009, Creative Foundations founded Our Town Studios, an art studio/gallery within our adult day service program. Our Town Studios gives individuals the choice to earn an income while creating art and selling it to the community. We took our art concept and opened our second adult day service center located in downtown, Delaware, Ohio. Today, we are very pleased with our growth and leadership in the community. We continue to learn everyday from the individuals we serve and look progressively to the future – a happy, safe, and independent life for all of us.

We strive to intensify our commitment to pro-social values such as kindness, helpfulness, personal responsibility, equality, and respect for others. These are qualities we believe are essential to leading humane and productive lives in society.

The Creative Foundations Supportive Living program allows individuals to live as independent as possible in the community. The level of services an individual requires is based on individual abilities and working through a team process. Creative Foundations also strongly believes in Self-Determination. 
Creative Foundation's Adult Day Services offers alternative employment for individuals with developmental disabilities while giving them a chance to express themselves in a creative way and get paid for it. Our Town Studios gallery exhibits fine art, painting, drawings, hand painted ceramic tiles, and much more.
